Bearcat Stables’ horse-drawn sleigh rides feature a 30-minute scenic ride with a two-horse team on one of the Vail Valley’s original homesteads. Tucked into a small mountain valley, Bearcat Stables is a true hidden gem surrounded by aspen groves and rolling hills, open meadows, and beautiful mountain views.

There is something special about bundling up beneath the winter sky and experiencing the mountains from behind a team of horses. The sound of the sleigh moving through the snow, the rhythm of the horses, and the surrounding scenery make this a simple and memorable way to enjoy winter in Colorado.

Our afternoon Après Sleigh Rides are perfect for families, couples, friends, and groups looking for a fun winter experience without dinner.

$45 per person 2 and under free

Your experience includes the 30-minute horse-drawn ride followed by s’mores around the campfires.

Hot chocolate, cocktails, wine, and other beverages are available for purchase from our full bar before or after your ride and are not included in the ride price.

A Note About Snow Conditions

Our horses’ safety always comes first. If there is not enough snow on the ground to safely operate the sleighs, the horses will pull a wagon instead. This allows them to pull comfortably and safely while guests can still enjoy the same beautiful horse-drawn experience at Bearcat Stables.
